🛰️ From a university lab in Vilnius to building one of Europe’s largest satellite orders. In 2014, a group of engineers at Vilnius University launched one of Lithuania’s first-ever satellites. That project sparked the founding of Kongsberg NanoAvionics. A space-tech company that’s now designing small satellite buses and delivering end-to-end missions for NASA, MIT, Thales Alenia Space and others. In 2022, NanoAvionics joined forces with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. Just three years later, it secured a €122.5M contract to build 280 satellites for SpinLaunch - one of Europe’s largest satellite manufacturing orders to date. This is the kind of story that makes Americans stop mid-scroll... From dorm-room vibes to a €122M satellite contract? That’s not just a win for Lithuania.. that’s a blueprint for what happens when deep tech meets deep belief. (And yeah… if you’re trying to land U.S. partnerships off this momentum, I might have a few thoughts on how to make the pitch hit harder stateside 😉)
