Great to be back in Colombia, connecting with partners tackling one of the country’s biggest challenges: air pollution 🌬️ Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting the impressive team at Medellín’s Universidad de Antioquia, whose research underpins the city’s #AirQuality initiatives. The lab I visited has pioneered testing emissions from motorbikes - which make up 60% of the city’s vehicles and account for 15% of its emissions. The team tested 70 different motorbike models across various ages and driving cycles. The resulting data feeds into the national emissions inventory and could support improvements in motorbike efficiency - an important step towards ensuring residents' primary transport mode doesn’t cost their health and the environment. ⬇️ Manuel Trujillo
