🔍 Underground Cable Fault? Wait Before You Dig! Digging blindly can waste time, increase costs, and even cause more damage. Instead, use smart fault-locating methods to find the exact problem. Here’s a simple 6-step guide that engineers and field teams rely on: 📊 6 Easy Steps to Locate Underground Cable Faults 1️⃣ Visual Check Look for signs like bulges, burn marks, oil leaks, or water entry. Sometimes the fault shows itself right away. 2️⃣ Insulation Resistance Test (Megger) Measure resistance between phases and to the ground. 👉 Healthy cable = more than 1 MΩ per kV 👉 Faulty cable = less than 1 MΩ 3️⃣ Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) Send a test pulse into the cable. The reflection tells you how far down the fault is. 👉 Make sure to set the correct VOP (Velocity of Propagation). 4️⃣ High-Voltage Surge Test (Thumping) Apply a high-voltage surge that makes a “thump” sound at the fault location. 👉 Combine with an acoustic pickup for precise pinpointing. 5️⃣ Cable Route Tracing Track the actual cable path to avoid digging in the wrong place. 👉 Always compare with drawings before cutting ground. 6️⃣ Excavation & Repair Once located, carefully dig, inspect, and repair. 👉 Don’t forget to retest insulation before closing the trench. ⚡ Pro Tip: Using TDR + Thumper + Locator together gives the most accurate results with the least disruption. 💬 What’s the toughest underground cable fault you’ve come across? 👨🏭 for soil resistivity and to proceed further for Earthing mesh calculations, We conducted Earth Resistance Testing using the Wenner Array (4-electrodes) method to verify the ground resistance to further calculate and design the effective earthing system at one of our project sites. Proper earthing is critical for: ✅ Personnel safety ✅ Equipment protection ✅ Reliable fault current dissipation 📐 Using a digital earth resistance tester, we measured a resistance of 9.12 ohms. Kudos to the team on-site for reaching at site early morning today, setting up and executing the test with precision! 👷♂️👷♀️ #ElectricalEngineering #EarthingSystem #GroundResistanceTesting #SiteWork #PowerSystemSafety #FieldTesting #ElectricalSafety #EnergyInfrastructure

Restoring a pressure pipeline doesn’t have to mean months of disruption. Here’s how the BulletLiner System makes it faster and cleaner: 1️⃣ Access: Existing entry points or small excavations are used, minimizing disturbance 2️⃣ Install: Our flexible liner is pulled through the pipeline, navigating bends up to 45° with ease 3️⃣ Seal & Strengthen: Once in place, the liner forms a close-fit structure capable of withstanding surge pressures up to twice the operating pressure From hydrocarbons to process water, this method delivers: ✅ Long-term reliability (50-year design life) ✅ Minimal shutdown time ✅ Significant cost savings Rethink pipeline rehab. Ever wonder how workers create a hole underground without digging up the whole area? That’s where the horizontal boring tool (also called a pneumatic mole) comes in. This powerful piece of equipment punches its way through the soil, creating a tunnel so services like water pipes, electrical cables, gas lines, and internet conduits can be installed seamlessly. Instead of tearing up roads, footpaths, or driveways, trenchless drilling makes the job quicker, cleaner, and far less disruptive. This is how modern construction keeps underground services neat and efficient! #ConstructionLife #CivilEngineering #TrenchlessTechnology #Infrastructure #BuildingBetter #SmartConstruction #EngineeringSolutions #FutureOfConstruction #Utilities #SiteWorks
