It was great to be back in Lindau at Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings #lino25 with Robert Mond to present work that will benefit the world. As always, more updates coming soon! RMIT Activator RMIT Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering
Huge congratulations to RMIT Associate Professor JJ (Joseph) Richardson and Robert Mond, whose start-up #Bionica was one of four global winners at this year’s prestigious Quantum Leap for Biodiversity Challenge, which recognises breakthrough #technologies aimed at halting and reversing #biodiversity #loss. The winning #innovation, which also took home ‘Most Investible Award' at RMIT Activator's Pitch Night, uses #nanoscience to create durable, waterproof coatings that help #pesticides to stick to plants, greatly reducing their environmental impact. The pair just returned from the annual Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, and Richardson and Mond said they were blown away by the positive reception of their presentation. “Presenting our technology in Lindau to some of the world’s most influential scientists and institutions — from Mars to Cambridge University — was both humbling and exhilarating,” Mond said. “One by one, they approached us with the same message: what we’re building could have a profound, global impact on environmental protection and #conservation. We left not only inspired, but with a renewed sense of urgency — knowing this is just the beginning of something far bigger than ourselves.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/e_Gv497z
