The only x-rays that do not get 100% on this lp/mm test are CT systems. They have the worst image quality in the history of x-ray.
Why CT systems fail the lp/mm test

Watch the full video here: https://lnkd.in/d7C2256n Are the days of terrestrial scanners only doing one thing fading away? A few months ago we explored how the Z+F USA FlexScan 22 transforms a TLS into one hell of a SLAM unit. Today we examine the Kinematic mode of RIEGL VZ600i & look at how it stacks up against traditional SLAM scanning.

This year at the BACUS conference in Monterey, XYALIS introduces an interactive graphical option to ease the adoption of automated frame generation by R&D teams. This complements XYALIS solution which automates the different steps of Mask Data Preparation – Multi Chip Wafer placement, Frame Generation, Mask Layout, Wafer Map creation and Dummy Fill Insertion – for the most advanced technologies – Multi-Layer Reticles, Stitching, and 3DIC masks -. We look forward to seeing you in Monterey, September 24-25, 2025.

Dink it and sink it! OctoProctor v5.5.1 is out 🎉 There are quite a few Mystical Creatures among the OctoProctor crew; our CTO, Anton Skshidlevsky, is no exception. So, what is the best way to test an updated face detection algorithm's performance than introducing it to the world of GMM? As you can see in the video, the algorithm is detecting Rhett and Link's lively movements and mimics without a fault, while also reducing CPU load on browsers. Frames per second (FPS) are higher, the system works smoothly even in poor lighting, and the one-shot duration in milliseconds is shorter 🐙 v5.5.1 is even more reliable, with fewer false flags to deal with for everybody. Wowza! Read more about the full update here: https://lnkd.in/djd2rHih

Better resolution means more detail, and more detail means better decision-making on the fireground. QXT Pro and NXT Pro offer 640 x 480 pixel resolution, the highest available in thermal imagers for the fire service. Here’s a quick article on what resolution means for TIC performance: https://lnkd.in/eBk586ye

As we continue celebrating 100 years of Shure, we celebrate another milestone with the introduction of the DFR11EQ in 1996. Its introduction expanded Shure's use of digital signal processing, which set the standard for automatic feedback reduction while allowing users to manually control internal software equalizers for comprehensive tonal control of the sound system. Today, nearly all new Shure products are powered by DSP, and Shure continues to invest in dedicated DSP devices like the IntelliMix® P300. Explore other Shure milestones: https://shu.re/41n6r6i

Aviation Security: CT Xray (3D scanner) vs Single-view Xray contrasting results explosives/IED detection in baggage. Excellent illustration here below by John Howell.
Marine/Army EOD Technician/Owner/President SVS Countermeasures Training/ Director of Counter IED Technologies IBDOCIED/Counter IED Threat Detection (SME)
Direct comparison between a CT x-ray images ($600,000.00) vs a Single Generator X-Ray ($30,000.00) a. The image on the left colors is not correct based on the ranges for materials discrimination imaging. b. The image on the left is very blurred due to massive scatter from a non-collimated x-ray beam. c. The image on the left smaller and thin IED components cannot be seen (i.e wires, etc.) d. The image on the left did not alarm to the explosive the other did. Which one is the CT and which one is the cheap single generator system?
