AI has rapidly come on the scene and it's compounding effects are so challenging to keep up with. Personally I started using it last year for help with minor task and organizing ideas. Now, it's become a daily use tool for greater efficiency. Its wild to think about the generations coming up behind us, and where we will be with AI in just a few short years. The massive AI wave is coming! 🌊 One thing I've observed lately is that the human MUST always be at the center of AI use. While AI does create and design at scales unthinkable just a few years ago, it lacks the critical elements which Humans bring to the solution. This is why Im so pumped we decided to get ahead of that wave by combining both the critical human skills and AI tech together. Check it out! 🚀 Become Irreplaceably Human in the Digital Age In a world accelerating toward digital dominance, it's not just technical know-how that will set you apart—it’s the ability to lead with human ingenuity, purpose, and grit. I personally think that AI creative benchmarks and evaluations are useless. The implication of these frameworks is that creativity is deterministic, defined and repeatable... which it isn't (as creativity is synonymous with novelty). I recently read The MIT Technology Review's Creativity Edition (link in comments). It reflects on psychoanalytical studies performed by Berkley in the 1950s to study creative brains. It looked at famous writers and architects and distributed a derivative of the famous brick test (i.e. name the number of uses for a brick) that has also been used to evaluate frontier AI models. The results: "these tests have never been shown to have predictive value" - a person with a higher amount of divergent thinking doesn't equal greater success in creative industries. This result could be extrapolated to creative benchmarks. Where does this then leave us for AI x creativity? My belief as a I build Lucid States is that our creative futures will be built in a sandbox of tools not deterministically predicted as an output. It's better to build the tools, frameworks than attempt to deterministically solve creativity. Creativity eats itself - what was once creative no longer is. This elusiveness is also its magic! AI's Crystal Ball: Can Machines Truly Predict the Future? Imagine an AI not just learning from the past but actually predicting the future — from next week's stock prices to major sports outcomes. This concept, once science fiction, is now being rigorously tested through FutureX, a dynamic benchmark developed by ByteDance Seed in collaboration with leading academic teams from Stanford, Fudan, and Princeton. FutureX challenges AI models like Grok-4, GPT, and Gemini to forecast real-world events before they happen, avoiding any data leakage that traditionally compromised AI evaluation. This test marks a decisive pivot from rote memory assessments to true foresight capabilities. FutureX designs a rigorous, ongoing evaluation by automatically sourcing hundreds of new prediction tasks each week across economics, technology, sports, and more — all derived from high-quality global information sources. Unlike previous AI tests, these challenges have no standard answers at test time, compelling AI to exhibit planning, reasoning, and decision-making amid uncertainty. The benchmark segments difficulty into four tiers, simulating escalating complexity akin to a grandmaster's ranking system, thus pushing AI agents to evolve beyond static knowledge towards adaptive intelligence. While pioneering models such as Grok-4 currently lead the pack, their predictive accuracy still significantly lags behind human experts, especially in complex scenarios requiring deep reasoning rather than mere information retrieval. The research highlights a critical distinction: AI excels when it can search post-event data but struggles immensely in genuine pre-event forecasting. This gap underscores FutureX’s mission to foster AIs capable not just of finding answers but crafting insightful, confident judgments in an unpredictable world — a challenge at the heart of next-gen AI development. #AIforecasting #FutureXBenchmark #AIPrediction

Is the AI Bubble About to Burst? Experts and industry leaders are sounding the alarm that the AI hype might be getting a little ahead of itself. A recent MIT study revealed that 95% of generative AI projects aren’t delivering the business returns everyone hoped for. Even Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has spoken openly about the risk of an AI investment bubble driven by excitement and big promises. As tech stocks stumble and companies start to rethink what AI is really worth, it looks like the market might be gearing up for a major reset. That said, the potential for AI to transform industries over the long term is still huge—but it’s becoming clear that we need to shift gears toward more realistic, value-driven innovation. Are we at the end of the AI gold rush, or just entering a new, wiser chapter? #AI #TechBubble #Innovation

Are you treating AI like a superhero or a supervillain? The truth is, despite its growing presence, AI is still viewed as an extraordinary technology, sparking both utopian and dystopian visions of the future. While some see AI as a harbinger of a new Renaissance, others are more concerned than excited about its potential impact. Two AI researchers at Princeton are challenging this binary thinking, arguing that we should start thinking of AI as a "normal" technology, akin to electricity or the internet. Their 40-page essay makes a compelling case for differentiating between the rapid development of AI methods and the actual applications of AI, which often lag behind by decades. The key takeaway is that the adoption of AI will be more of a gradual trickle than a tsunami. Here are some key points to consider - - The development of AI is happening rapidly, but its practical applications are slower to emerge. - The societal impacts of AI will occur at the speed of technological adoption, not development. - We need to move beyond the hype and focus on the real-world applications of AI. By adopting a more nuanced view of AI, we can begin to see its potential benefits and challenges more clearly. Rather than viewing AI as a separate species or a highly autonomous entity, we can start to think of it as a tool that can be harnessed to drive innovation and progress. #AIadoption #TechForGood #InnovationMatters
