I canceled my Manus subscription a while ago because it could never keep up on accuracy. Pretty skeptical about this ChatGPT Agent release, but according to OpenAI I'll have it by end of day today... so let's see what it can do. What they claim it can do: - Browse websites, click/scroll/type like a human - Create editable slideshows & spreadsheets from scratch - Run code, analyze data, conduct research - Handle full workflows: "plan Japanese breakfast for 4" & then shops for ingredients - Calendar integration: brief you on upcoming meetings based on recent news - Competitor analysis & auto-generate slide decks - Convert screenshots into presentations - Plan & book entire travel itineraries - Schedule appointments, rearrange meetings - Update financial models with new data Basically all the stuff I tried to get Manus to do for me in the past. We'll see if it lives up to the hype or if it's another case of impressive demos that fall apart in real use. https://lnkd.in/gPe46-Du

Ooh, hot take. I don't disagree.
It's fascinating to see the shift from "keeping up" to actively bridging research and execution. The real test will be its ability to reliably handle multi-step workflows and avoid those frustrating accuracy breakdowns we've seen before. Hoping this marks a genuine leap in practical AI assistance.

Josh Christensen I'm skeptical, considering that I still need to issue several follow up prompts in normal GPT to get it to spit out what I'm looking for. How long do you think it will take them to get it right?
I listened to the presentation last night and thought the same thing you did, big if true. If is doing a good portion of the lifting in that sentence though.
