Almost since the day I arrived in the UK a few years ago, I've been obsessed with Angela Hartnett. She's one of those straight-talking, force-of-nature chefs who give you confidence to cook, and forgive yourself when things don't turn out perfectly. I am of course not the only one with a chef-crush: the podcast she co-hosts, The Dish, with Waitrose & Partners has hit No. 1 on Apple food podcasts. And now I have a new place to see Hartnett in action: She's getting ready to open Cicola at the Royal Ballet and Opera. It will be her biggest dining room yet - 300 seats - and stylishly decked out - like a Piedmontese count took over the design but kept it simple. I got a little tour of the place and a tasting of the food with Hartnett. Here's what it looks like. And please admire the fab portrait shot via Hayley Benoit.
