How to link data transactions to data services

Data transactions are governed by a set of terms and conditions - connecting them to the actual data service is the industry challenge. The data industry is not the first one to have seen this. #data #KnowYourData #datainventory #datatraceability #contractmanagement #cms #datamanagement

Your contract management system does not describe your data! Data is licensed — meaning there’s a signed agreement for the data you receive or provide. CMSs are excellent for workflows like negotiation, signatures, and storage. However: - They don’t tell you what data is covered by those agreements. - They don’t show you how it’s being used across your organization. - They don’t give you time to understand product usage before renewal. - They don’t reveal duplicate coverage or client risks. You might have a data inventory system, but these rarely connect with your CMS. And let’s not forget the challenge of setting up these systems, extracting the information from the agreements, and maintaining them. We’ve seen this movie before in asset management with Portfolio systems, Risk systems, Order Management, EMS, and Fund Accounting - Each handled a piece of the puzzle. - But firms still needed an Investment Book of Record (IBOR) to see a true, real-time picture of assets and liabilities. Data ecosystems are no different. What’s missing is a Data Book of Record (DBOR™) — a unified, real-time view of your firm’s data assets and obligations. Connect with us to find out more about DBOR™. #data #PEERDATA #datamanagement #AIreadines #KnowYourData

DataBP does precisely this Kat, we don't just generate licensing agreements for clients, we digitally store the rights being granted, the product/product variants, T&Cs and the obligations. Our REST API's wire this into the entitlements and billing systems so that the two shall never part...
