Make your social media content accessible! Here are some tips... - Add alt text to images AND image descriptions (image descriptions are primarily helpful for those who do not use to assistive technology, such as screen readers) - Don't use too many emojis - Avoid creating “images” with text such as: ( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) - Use camel case for hashtags (such as #AccessMatters instead of #accessmatters) - Add human-generated captions to all video content (automatic captioning and auto generated alt text on images must be reviewed by a human for accuracy) - Be aware not to overuse caps. Full-caps can be difficult to read and misinterpreted by screen readers - Add Trigger warnings to sensitive content - Check the color contrast - Don't add large blocks of text, if you need to, break them up with helpful headlines #Accessibility #RepresentationMatters #LICreatorAccelerator Image Description: On an off-black background there is gold text that says: "Make your social media content accessible!" at the bottom it has "Keely Cat-Wells, Founder, C Talent". There is a gold frame around the text.

As a blind LinkedIn user I can confirm that alt text and camel case make a HUGE difference. Really appreciate that your content has always been accessible, I've noticed :)

Thank you! I have been wondering the difference between alt text and image discription and if both were needed or not. The other tips are helpful as well and a nice reminder for the hashtags.
