The dust has settled on another fantastic SBC summit in Lisbon and to me this event had innovation seeping through it more than most. AI is a term that’s used too loosely but as an industry we have become better at not taking buzz words at face value. Deeper dives show true creativity and deployment of tech in meaningful ways. Meanwhile, I had the pleasure of moderating a highly informed panel on the evolution of the regulatory framework in the Philippines. With much still to be done there is no doubt the Philippines is well positioned as THE place to be in asia, even as discussions happen elsewhere in the region about regulation. Regulated western businesses can now talk openly about where Asia sits on their list of strategic priorities with the Philippines presenting a first regional foothold now.
