Who is the best in the world at using Epic ? A while back I saw that ESPN Ocho was televising the championships of Microsoft Excel. It blew my mind that there was a whole culture that built up surrounding competitively using Excel. My brain then flipped to picturing the same thing with using Epic . Kind of said why not try to have Mastery of a tool. Not claiming that I would win the tournament, but the competitive side of me wants a shot at the 👑. I kind of picture UGM as the NCAA basketball tournament of Epic. The best almost certainly is there (or has been there in the past). Who else out there deserves a ticket to the “March Madness” of Mastery in Epic. Feel free to shout out colleagues. (I have some names in my head but interested to hear either those or some others). Also interesting that based on using AI tools embedded in Epic that we turned on at Iowa, personally I would crush what I was like one year ago. (Disclaimer that there at least 3 people at Iowa that I think are better at Epic than I am, but figure still worth me trying to be the best me) #UGM 🧀 🧀 Just thought of this post, but sweet timing as I suspect a lot of the contenders are on their phones until the show at 9am.
Some of the savviest EHR users I’ve seen have voice macros that allow them to fly through their daily tasks using their voice. It’s like seeing someone talk with a robot!
There should be a Text edition for analysts and builders. Keyboard only. I think that is how Excel does it.

1moI guess the biggest challenge would be that Excel can be a one-player game where everyone has the same tools, but using EHRs is inherently a complicated multi-player game dependent on how your team configured your implementation. Maybe some competition where each "team" is allowed to sue their own Epic setup, and asked to complete 10 complicated user tasks in a given time frame? So you win based on both how good your team is, and how good your actual Epic configuration was?
