Adoring Husband|Proud Dad|Servant Leader|Public Company Board Member|C-Suite Executive Thankful, Grateful and Blessed 🙏🏽 Matthew 25:23

I am humbled to be featured in the recently published book A Seat At The C-Suite Table written by Chuck Wallington, PHD. A Seat at the C-Suite Table is an insightful look at the leadership journeys of 30 African American male C-Suite executives. This book provides advice, hope, and inspiration for others. While each of us featured are referred to by pseudonyms, please allow me to share a little of my story so you can guess which chapter I’m featured in😉. Some of you may know, I’ve been in the C-Suite since 1997. I was blessed to achieve this accomplishment at the age of 29. In fact, 2024 makes 27 years as a Chief Human Reources/Chief People Officer. God is a master navigator and the ultimate way maker! My career and it’s longevity is a testament to His grace and mercy. 🙏🏽 My wife Tina has been instrumental in my career success always encouraging and challenging me to be my best. Although they may not realize it, my sons Tyler and Taylor have also been driving forces in my life as I’ve always wanted them to be proud of me and see that they as black men can achieve their goals in spite of any obstacles they may face while pursuing excellence in the process. Throughout my career I’ve attempted to use my blessings to bless others. While thankful for my success, to be clear, a C-Suite executive is “what I am” not “who I am”. I am a Christian, a husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and a friend above all. I’m so proud of Chuck Wallington, PHD for telling our story. I hope it is helpful to anyone…especially persons of color…who seek to navigate corporate America or any organization for that matter, in pursuit of their personal and professional goals. Chuck’s book is available on Amazon and is a must read. Please support him by purchasing a copy for you or someone you believe will benefit from it. One last thought to share…there really isn’t much difference between the block and the boardroom. Be aware of your surroundings, discerning about who you let in your circle and don’t forget to always keep it 💯!!! Thanks to all who have been on this journey with me. From Rochdale Village to Westbury to Cornell to Charlotte to Atlanta and all points in between. You’ve all had an incredible impact on my life and I am very thankful for you. With God ordering our steps, there is so much more to do in services to others. Blessings always, Kev
