🚢 From airport terminals to cruise terminals. Our #MBHS® #CrossBelt sorter technology has now been successfully extended beyond aviation — into the cruise sector. For the first time, the proven precision, speed, and traceability of #Leonardo’s #BaggageHandling Systems are being applied to port logistics, serving thousands of cruise passengers with the same high standards as in airports. A milestone example: the new baggage handling system at MSC Cruises’ flagship terminal in Miami, the largest cruise terminal in the world. This project marks a significant leap in cruise automation, adapting the MBHS® cross-belt sorter to manage more than 2,400 bags per hour, sorted by cabin destination with exceptional accuracy, speed, and scalability. The system is designed to support baggage processing for three cruise ships simultaneously, enhancing embarkation operations, security screening, and delivery speed.
