Here's a link to a new AI and sustainability course we created and published on Linked In Learning last month. Hoping it's useful for those interested in today's webinar: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/utilizing-ai-to-achieve-sustainability-and-esg-outcomes

Surprised this collab between LinkedIn and Hugging Face didn't happen sooner! All we need now is a full-fledged course about Sustainable AI!

Are there studies that compare the energy spend for typical AI tasks (summarization, STT/TTS, image recognition etc) against the energy spend for typical modern day human activities like (driving vs taking the train, air travel, Golf) etc? Trying to see how we might be able make it real for more people.

I would also recommend the Sustainable AI Coalition, their database is HUGE: https://www.sustainableaicoalition.org/initiatives-hub/

i found Project Drawdown very helpful as well to learn more about what actions we can all take in our own areas of life / work - https://drawdown.org/explorer

Let's make AI more secure in 2026. 👍🏻

If using an off the shelf LLM, we can assume a small to medium prompt represents .25 watt hours. I large deep analysis prompt could be up to .5 watt hours. As an approximation.
