Maybe you've heard of subsurface models and runway modes, but have you heard of data models? Check out todays "Fundamentals in 55" video where we talk all about data models.   "Fundamentals in 55" is a rapid-fire video series designed to cover a foundational part of architecture, systems design, and technology.   Quick disclaimer: The opinions presented here are my own, as with everything in life, your mileage my vary   #fundamentalsin55 #Servicesin75 #architecture #dataarchitecture #solutionsarchitecture #enterprisearchitecture

Awesome! I strongly believe that a good data model acts like a healthy heart to data architecture/data management project. But sadly sometimes data models doesn’t quite get the attention it should get. This is why I get excited talking about data models and data architecture! Getting a right data model is very difficult especially when the various source data is so siloed, structured so differently with lack of common data governance and standardisation but it’s not impossible! A core understanding of the various data and it’s relationship with the vision of what we want to achieve as end state will definitely help build a great model! Oh and yes and to do so data passionate minds are definitely required as well 😀!

Data models, the least glamorous of all software solutions to sell which is why we so often avoid the topic...
