Growth occurs outside your comfort zone. Yet being uncomfortable is hard. Really hard. I hate feeling awkward, uncomfortable, or like I'm in a situation where I'm not able to be effective. However, these moments are where you can gain a new appreciation and perspective. Today I'm talking about tips for being (more) comfortable being uncomfortable. Focusing this discomfort towards growth is a super power. Comment below with the topics you'd like to see covered in future videos! Although I work for AWS, my opinions are my own. As with everything in life, your mileage may vary. #learnandbecurious #solutionsarchitect #feedback #growthmindset #womenintechnology #aws #careerdevelopment

I like your thoughts on being uncomfortable and not being effective Liz. I can relate. Being more left brain, prior military, analytical, and managing projects has trained me to always think of an immediate fix. Or to at least think of all the what ifs and what could go wrong. Now that I look back at things, being uncomfortable forced me to learn things. To adapt. To really find out what I love in life. If you're always able to solve something, you don't learn and don't grow. Going through things allows you to teach other people skills you've learned also.
