Lloyd's Register’s Post

Day three of London International Shipping Week 2025 puts the spotlight on people, progress and performance. We're hosting our Maritime Human Capital Management Forum today, bringing together global leaders, innovators, regulators, and frontline practitioners to explore how the industry can better attract, train, support, and retain the workforce it needs today and tomorrow. The event will begin by focusing on the global push to ensure seafarers are prepared for the transition to net zero. The second session, hosted by Ocean Technologies Group in collaboration with Lloyd's Register OneOcean, will explore the strategic and technological levers of Human Capital Management. We’re also hosting the LR Container Ship Forum, where discussions will consider the commercial and regulatory drivers shaping the sector’s sustainable transition. Elsewhere on today’s agenda, LR leaders will be speaking across London, including: • Nicholas Brown, LR CEO, taking part in a panel discussion at the LISW25 Headline Conference on how maritime can harness digital tools to thrive amid complexity. • Ryan Bax, LR Advisory Lead Consultant, speaking at the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and International Windship Association Wind Propulsion Seminar. • Naomi West , LR Marketing Engagement Director, joining a panel at the Marketing in Maritime (MiM) All Brands On Deck event. It was a privilege to chair yesterdays panel discussion. With ia clear demand signal for the evolution of marine nuclear this event was timely. The human capital sessions today will further explore the critical improvements that is being laid on skills and workforce . It’s an exciting time for nuclear and fantastic to see, building on past submarine industry we are taking nuclear forward to build future benefit. Thank you Lloyd's Register for bringing the sector together and encouraging collaboration and learning from land based projects. We now need action and pace. A common theme appearing throughout international shipping week

All the sessions sound inspiring, especially in today's fast-changing marine sector where anything can happen!
