I love working remotely. The focus, the flexibility, the chance to shape my own rhythm, it fits me perfectly. But sometimes, it just hits different when you’re in the same room with your colleagues. This year, I met my team at SimplyBook.me in person twice. One of those times was in Budapest. And it reminded me of something simple: In every company, there are moments that never show up in reports or dashboards. A chat on the couch. An idea shared over coffee. Even picking a sticker from a bowl and laughing about it. These moments don’t look like “strategy,” but they build culture. They make the serious work more human. And often, they lead to the most unexpected insights. Remote work gives us independence. Presence gives more human connection. And it’s in this balance that culture really grows.
