Twenty-five years ago, in November 2000, Bradley Ann Morgan, the then-Worldwide SE Director at @Brocade Communications, took the entire World Wide Sales Engineering Team on an unforgettable team-building trip to Napa Valley. The highlight? A breathtaking hot air balloon ride over the valley at sunrise. Some memories never fade! This best-of-the-best team pictured here includes: Bradley Ann Morgan, Steve Wynne, John Quidley, Michael Worley, Norihiro Saito, Tim Werts, Chris Beauchamp, Kay Dee Hackman, Karen Collins, Jim Baldyga, Gary Parsons, Leo Kappeler, Friedrich Hartmann, Bruno Guiet, Don Williams, Paul Griffiths, Brian Steffler and a few others.
Wow is right. We are all soooo old.
Funny--I have been ballooning since then in ABQ, NM--still not as great as that trip!! Miss all ya'll.
Wow, unforgettable indeed — ballooning in Napa Valley. Can’t believe it’s been 25 years.
25 years .... wow unbelievable and unforgettable !!
That team is the best of the best! An epic memory - That was literally my first day on the team. Paul Griffiths - I was on that crash landing balloon too! Who else was on it?
Wow Brocade... Felt like many years ago. Hope you have been well.
Fun times. Twenty-five years ago there was so much excitement around 8-port and 16-port 1Gb switches. FC has evolved in amazing ways. That balloon ride was so much fun.
Our SE team has always been an amazing crew. Such a privilege to work with so many outstanding individuals.
What a rag tag group of superstars!
Ah yes! Thanks "N" for the memory jogger. It was a great time indeed.....Brocade and the balloon flight....although the latter for me was memorable because ....<grin> ....Our balloon quickly developed a fault with the "flappy thing" (technical term for the gizmo in the top of the balloon where the hot air is allowed to escape under control of the pilot using a cord, to allow for a safe descent when required). We rose to about 200 feet from the parking lot, with the burners going full blast, caught a gentle breeze....the pilot continued to try and fix the problem, but sadly to no avail.... We sailed through the air majestically for about 5 minutes before equally majestically crash-landing in a nearby vineyard. Kudos to the pilot for keeping his cool and keeping us all safe. Much hilarity.
