𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 NWO-I has appointed Marco de Baar for a second five-year term as director of DIFFER. The first five years were marked by introducing a new strategy and collaborations with leading (inter)national players. Marco De Baar: "To me, being director of DIFFER is very exciting, challenging and interesting. We have defined a new strategy through which we are very clearly committed to large scale scientific instrumentation, also for the Chemical Energy department. This is important because it gives us a very special role in the Dutch scientific landscape. It allows us to establish new collaborations with leading groups and to have a complementary role in the scientific field. I think that is a very positive development."
