Last week, I wrapped up an incredibly rewarding 3+ years at Patch. It was a privilege and a joy to align my professional skills with my personal passions, and work with some of the most talented teammates I've ever encountered, to scale solutions to our climate crisis. I’ll be tackling another existential challenge / opportunity for humanity in my next role, but more on that later. In many ways, I'm sad to leave this chapter behind, and I hope to keep a foot (or at least a couple of toes) in the carbon removal and climate action spaces, socially and through some selective advising – founders and friends in climate, don't be strangers! My time at Patch was formative in other ways. I joined right out of maternity leave with my oldest, navigating the transition to motherhood at startup pace. I learned how to maximize my impact by prioritizing the highest leverage work and decisions, relying on my experience and intuition to cut through the noise and make things happen. I'll carry those lessons with me into the next phase of my career and beyond. I'm grateful to every single Patch, past and present, but a few shoutouts (that's what people do in these posts, right?): • Brennan and Aaron: thank you for taking a chance on me, and for putting your trust in me throughout our time working together. You two have built something really special. • Jenny: I really won the manager lottery. Thanks for creating space for me to lead, being an always-on thought partner, and giving me feedback when I needed to hear it. • Zeba: A dream of a direct report. I learned so much from you, and will miss our jam sessions. • Rachel: The best product partner and work bestie I could have asked for. I’ve had so much fun dreaming, scheming, and building with you. Thanks for letting me into your world. • The best marketing and design pros on the planet: Matthew, Stephanie, Karla, Elena, Maroun, Ryan. You have built the preeminent brand and thought leadership position in market – as evidenced by all of the copycats. I am so incredibly spoiled to have had the chance to work with you, and have any idea I shared immediately elevated 100x by your craft. • Celia, Miral, Bee, Joshua, Hayden, Robert, Jan, Rebekah and all of my GTM partners: thanks for always pushing my thinking and teaching me the ins and outs of this 𝚒̶𝚗̶𝚜̶𝚊̶𝚗̶𝚎̶ dynamic market. I’ve learned so much from all of you, and had a tonne of fun building the business together. LFRB 💚
