Collaborative Safety Sharing on Methanol: Preparing for the Future of Green Bunkering | As the maritime industry accelerates its shift toward low-carbon fuels, methanol is emerging as a key alternative — but with it comes the critical need for robust safety practices.   Our #MetcoreInternationalPteLtd operations team, together with industry partner #ChimbuscoPanNation, participated in a comprehensive methanol safety sharing session led by a veteran expert with decades of experience in oil, gas and chemical tanker operations. The session focused on enhancing awareness and operational readiness for methanol bunkering.   Key topics included methanol’s properties, health and physical hazards, MSDS awareness, safe handling procedures, proper PPE usage, and concluded with emergency demonstration on managing methanol exposure incidents. This hands-on session underscored the importance of training, preparedness and cross-border collaboration to ensure methanol is handled safely and responsibly in marine fuel operations.   As we support the industry's transition to green fuels, Metcore remains committed to advancing safety, transparency and operational excellence at every step of the bunkering value chain.   #MethanolSafety #GreenBunkering #MarineFuel #OperationalExcellence #AlternativeFuels #SafetyFirst #Decarbonisation #Bunkering #MaritimeSafety #CrossBorderCollaboration #AlternativeFuels #MassFlowMeter #StakeholderEngagement
