🌱 Diversity starts with locality. In regenerative land use, even a single seed carries the blueprint of an entire ecosystem. Metsä Group is rethinking the relationship between industry and nature. At the company’s pilot site at the Kemi mill in Northern Finland, more than 12 hectares of biodiversity habitats are being established, not with imported greenery, but with native wild plants whose roots, quite literally, belong here. Every seed is hand-collected from the surrounding area, preserving genetic heritage and inviting native species back to thrive. And by using industrial side streams as fertile ground, we’re showing how production and ecological restoration can go hand in hand. This is regenerative land use in action, where the smallest local choices sow the seeds of large-scale change. 🌾 📖 Check out the recent blog post by Project Manager of Regenerative Land Use at Metsä Group, Shaneena Turak, and learn how Metsä Group is embedding biodiversity into the built environment: https://shorturl.at/RFjLo #biodiversity #sustainability #regenerativeforestry #circulareconomy
