What a job. Broadholme WRC - Anglian Water’s large water recycling centre near Wellingborough in Northamptonshire. A £35M project to deliver critical assets and infrastructure to protect the environment and support growth within one of the fastest growing regions in the country. I had the privilege of managing the engineering design and technical delivery of this major project from concept to completion and operational handover. It has been a pleasure working with the project delivery and construction teams on this one - Andrea Jowett, Dave Hutchinson, Peter Blatchford, Greg Reddy, Ian Jacobs, Macy Reddy, Ross Harper Lamont, Alex Parker. Engineering shout out.. On reflection of all that has been achieved during this project, from the efficiencies and embedded carbon savings through detailed design to overcoming every obstacle along the way during the construction phase to secure Anglian Water’s obligation date with the Environment Agency, needless to say that I’m very proud to be part of the @one engineering team. A big thank you to the @one engineering team members involved in shaping the solution and solving the many challenges (and emergencies!) along the way.. Also, thank you to all the teams embedded within our turnkey package suppliers, TES Group - MEICA, FLI Water - tertiary solids removal, Xylem - secondary biological treatment, Lintott Control Systems - chemical dosing packages, Power Testing Limited - mains power supply. Finally, a big thank you to the Anglian Water Ops teams (Christopher King TMIET, mick baz, Steve Riddle) who have been key contributors to the successful engineering design and delivery of the project from their input at HAZOP stage and Virtual Reality ALM sessions, to their contribution with frontline efforts and collaboration to help us integrate the new critical assets into their operational site. Some night shots thrown in, taken this week during a window of low flow when we safely and successfully executed the most operationally intrusive work on the project (supported by Selwood Ltd).
