The mistake I made at the beginning with paid traffic that cost me thousands… When I started, I thought the trick was in the audience. I spent weeks testing interests, ages, locations. But I learned the hard way: the right audience with the wrong creative = money wasted. Campaigns don’t fail because of the audience. They fail because the offer and the creative aren’t aligned. Today, every client that comes in already knows: first we work on the offer and the creative, only then the audience. And that’s why we’re able to get results so quickly. What’s the biggest mistake you’ve made in ads?

Low CPM isn’t always a win. Here’s why. A super-low CPM can feel like a win, but sometimes it’s actually a warning sign. Cheap impressions can mean your ads are showing up in places people scroll past, skip, or ignore entirely. Spending a bit more to reach premium placements or highly engaged audiences can actually give you better visibility, higher engagement, and stronger ROI. In digital advertising, it’s not about reaching the most people for the least money. It’s about reaching the RIGHT people in the RIGHT places.

The most profitable ad accounts don’t run dozens of campaigns. They run two. After years of testing, here’s the structure that works in 2025: 1. Testing Campaign → Ad set budget optimized (ABO) → 5 ads per ad set → Multiple headlines and bodies for each ad 2. Scaling Campaign → Campaign budget optimized (CBO) → Only winning ads → Broad targeting with proven angles The testing campaign identifies winners. The scaling campaign pours gas on them. Most brands fail because they treat scaling like chaos. But structure creates predictability. If your ad account feels messy, simplify to this 2-campaign model.

I lost ($22,750) on ads before I spotted the blind spot. And no it wasn’t targeting, audiences or some funnel hack. It was the way I wrote the offer itself. Most brands write it like this: ❌𝘎𝘦𝘵 𝘈 + 𝘉 𝘧𝘰𝘳 $95 + $4.99 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨. Logical? Sure. Irresistible? Not really. Here’s how I reframed it: ✅ 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐀 𝐟𝐨𝐫 $95 & 𝐰𝐞’𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐁 + 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲. – Same price. – Same product. – But this time CTR jumped 37% and conversion rate nearly doubled. Why? Because the word FREE doesn’t just mean “𝐍𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭.” It signals instant value. That’s when my campaigns stopped burning cash and started compounding profit. I’ve collected a stack of these tiny but high-leverage tweaks. They’re boring to most marketers. But they’re the difference between an ad account bleeding money and one that scales. Drop a 🔑 in the comments and I’ll share my private cheat sheet. (Make sure we’re connected or I can’t send it your way.)

𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲. Too many small businesses still believe that hitting the “𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭” button will bring them clients. It might get you likes, but likes don’t pay the bills. When I first tested campaigns with a small budget, I learned this the hard way. The boosted post got reach, but almost no conversions. Once I switched to Ads Manager, built a custom audience, and aligned my creative with the customer’s pain point, results improved—without increasing the budget. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧? Boost = quick reach. Ads Manager = measurable growth. Running ads is not about spending more. It’s about spending smart. How are you making sure your ads are designed to convert—not just to get views? #MarketingStrategy #MetaAds #SmallBusinessGrowth #DigitalMarketing #FacebookAds
