🚀 Bringing wind energy models up to speed 🌍💨 Wind power is booming – but many life cycle assessments still relied on outdated data. At LCM 2025 in #Palermo, Matthias Stucki presented new life cycle inventory models for on- and offshore wind energy. The results - developed together with Hanna K. and Alena Frehner - are clear: wind power remains one of the cleanest electricity sources, up to 20× less environmentally-intensive than grid mixes. The modelling was commissioned by the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN and the Swiss Federal Office of Energy SFOE.
