Last week, I had the absolute honour to take to the stage at Ford Motor Company's UK Global Learning in IT Summit (GLITS), where I was joined by football legend and Lioness Rachel Brown-Finnis. We spoke at length about her journey on and off the pitch and she imparted pearls of wisdom on leadership, overcoming uncertainty, mental wellbeing and resilience. Lessons from a Lioness: - Be the role model that the next generation deserves - "Control the controllables" - switch off the noise and move past mistakes - Communication is key; be clear, concise, have purpose, actively listen and show empathy - Ask for help as there is always someone who can support you - Build environments where you understand your team as individuals and every voice feels empowered Quote of the day: "If you don't know your team, how do you know what gets them going?" A huge thank you to Ford for having us and to Rachel for being such an inspirational guest.
Brilliant. Love this 🙌
