The Inčukalns tar ponds in is one of the Baltic region’s most notorious environmental legacies. Contaminated with a complex mix of petroleum products and sulphuric acid, the site posed a serious risk to the surrounding ecosystem. Faced with Latvia’s largest and most technically complex remediation project, hazardous waste management specialist A/S BAO required durable, versatile equipment capable of chemically aggressive materials and operating reliably in tough site conditions. To meet the project’s complex technical requirements, they integrated ALLU’s screening and mixing buckets into its remediation operations. ALLU buckets, attached to excavators or loaders, enabled on-site mixing and separation, reducing material transport and allowing contaminated soils to be treated directly on-site. More than a decade later, the same ALLU equipment is still in daily use at BAO’s facilities across Latvia. Want to know more about how ALLU equipment drives success in tough environmental projects? Take a look at the customer story. https://bit.ly/4kW094m #ALLUgroup #OneStepAhead #screeningbucket #construction

🚢 #Ukraine. #EpicenterAgro to build a #grain_terminal in #Pivdennyi port Epicenter, together with the family of MP Anatoliy Urbanskyi, is implementing a project to build a grain terminal in Pivdennyi port with a capacity of 5 mln tons per year. The total capacity of the silos will be 250 thsd tons, and the construction of its own railway station capable of receiving up to five freight trains daily is envisaged to serve logistics. The project also includes railcar and truck unloading stations, a 1.6 km long conveyor gallery, about 50 silos, and a 350 m long berth with tower cranes. According to market participants, construction is progressing according to schedule, and the facility is expected to be launched in 2026. The terminal will become an important link for Epicenter Agro, which has increased its land bank to 170 thsd ha in recent years, increased elevator capacity to 2 mln tons, and launched its own trading. The new project will allow the holding to provide a full cycle - from growing grain to exporting it. Read more 👉https://surl.li/dgdgbh

NEUERO Industrietechnik GmbH supplied a floating #grain terminal to Grupo Servicios Marítimos (GSM) to overcome challenges of declining water levels on the Paraná River. Installed on the 30,000 dwt barge Grisel N, the CombiFlexiport CF1000 integrates a pneumatic ship-unloader, commercial bulk scale, and shiploader into one mobile platform, enabling full loading of Panamax vessels even in low-draught conditions. This innovation helps reduce underloaded voyages — previously 15% to 35% below capacity — thereby cutting freight costs and boosting export efficiency, Neuero said. Mopani Copper Mines Plc has launched the first phase of its Water Purification System, ensuring miners have access to safe, clean drinking water underground. The Water Purification System consists of PXD filters (glass medium filters), water tanks, and online chlorinators for automated and effective chlorination. Water flows through a 1,000-liter tank, passes through the filters, and is then stored in a 10,000-litre tank for optimal purification and storage. “This water is treated firstly from our treatment plant, which is the main plant, then further treated and purified through the system itself,” explained Nkana Engineering Manager, Mr. Marvin Mwansa at the launch of the Water Purification System. “We have done adequate tests to the highest level through our ISO-certified Analytical Services Laboratories and our Public Health system to ensure the purity of this water. It's good water, safe water. All the tests have passed the standards for drinking water.” Mr. Mwansa disclosed that Phase Two of the project would focus on installing vessels and essential equipment underground to purify underground water and convert it into potable water, thereby ensuring a sustainable supply of safe drinking water for the miners underground. This initiative, part of Mopani’s TukaChimfya Pamo (Together We Shall Conquer) culture program, reflects our commitment to employee welfare, health, and safety. #MopaniCopperMines #SafeMining #EmployeeWelfare #SustainableMining #TogetherWeShallConquer
