Scaling too early can be risky 📈 Startups scaling within their first 12 months significantly increase their risk of failure. Growth often feels like progress, but when the foundation isn’t ready, challenges appears quickly: 🚩 MVPs become fragile, 🚩 Releases slow down, 🚩 Teams end up reacting instead of building. From our experience at ULAM LABS when working with growing tech companies, the lesson is simple: scale only when infrastructure, processes and development capacity are prepared. I’d be very interested to hear how others have experienced this in their own projects.

We were on the ground at Porthania for Day 1 of the 𝗔𝗜 & 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸, where 19 teams met, pitched 60 seconds each to investors, alumni, and students—then crossed the street to HUONE Helsinki Meeting and Event Venue for the networking surge. 🔑 Liquidity is not just about exits — it is about building sustainable cycles. Proud to see the launch of the "State of the Startup Secondaries Market in Brazil – 2025", produced by Beacon Founders in partnership with Spectra Investments. I have been working on this project since the beginning of the year, and seeing it materialize in this report is truly indescribable. This is the first study fully dedicated to the secondary market in Brazil, bringing unique data and reflections from founders and investors on how secondary transactions can align incentives, give entrepreneurs breathing room, and strengthen capital recycling in the ecosystem. A special thanks to my partner at Spectra, Humberto Gallucci, for being such an important part of this journey. More than a report, it is an invitation to expand this conversation and take our market to a new level of maturity. 🚀
