Project Engineer @ Herrero | Building Things in California

UCSF New Hospital at Parnassus Heights - Project Update Herrero Boldt Webcor UCSF Health It’s been a very eventful summer up here. Remember a few months ago I posted that we were really busy? I put the phone down and we got 10x busier. Some highlights: - INC1 (Excavation & Shoring) was completed and signed off this week, as INC3 (Steel Structure) saw its first steel columns start to be placed in the deep basement pits - INC2 (Foundation and Underground Utilities) is in full swing, covering the site with more rebar, pipe and concrete each week - Interns from around the country have joined the GC/Trade/Arch./Eng. teams to provide much-needed support for both in-progress construction and pre-con scopes - New full-time team members are being brought on board continuously as we gear up to go vertical - We now have 2 beautiful Wolff 1250B tower cranes that can be seen from pretty much anywhere in the city as they help us set anchor bolts, stage equipment, pour concrete and stand guard over our site Pretty awesome stuff to be a part of, especially this early in my career. Keep up the great work everybody!
