It was a pleasure to join NEXT Conference in Hamburg, along with exceptional fellow speakers like David Mattin and Maria Farrell. Like all events produced by Monique van Dusseldorp this one wasn’t the same boring tech discussions and people trying to sell you things; both speakers and audience wanted to learn and solve. Thanks for having me, Hamburg!
NEXT Conference in Hamburg is always special to me. One of the best places to connect with tremendous people and immerse in thoughts and ideas that range from super weird to deeply philosophical, from aspirational to applicable. The broadly curated speakers challenged perception of AI, creativity, and human agency: Nina Jankowicz warned of AI as a weapon in great-power competition but also showed how societies can build resilience instead of being trapped in exploitation. David Mattin reframed the end not as collapse, but as beginning. A shift from extracting value to creating systems of care and connection. Hannah Critchlow, PhD, HonDSc explored consciousness and our bond with AI, while everyone watched Ina Feistritzer's brain meditate live on stage. Joe Macleod highlighted the end of the digital experience: when identity and belief get reshaped beyond apps and screens, demanding new forms of human connection. In “End of the Screen”, Mario Major, Anouk Wipprecht, Iara Dias and Monique van Dusseldorp asked what happens after displays: from voice and gesture to immersive, embodied tech, we’re entering a post-screen era of interaction. “The End of Creativity” with John Michael Schert confronted AI’s ability to generate outputs and turned the spotlight back to human inputs: our bodies, emotions, trust, and collective meaning-making as the true frontier of creativity. Loved collaboration with him and Brett on this one. The future is full of ends. And beginnings. Accenture Song Juliane Indorf geb.
