We closed our $70M Series C! In 2012, I was a 21-year-old kid in a dorm room, with a dream and zero understanding of how cybersecurity - or the world - really worked. What followed… has been a wild ride! Mistakes. Pivots. Harder Pivots. For every “yes” from a customer or investor… the dozens of “no’s” that made us sharper. Every late night. Every tough call. Every lesson, with my two partners in crime & co-founders Rahul & Vidit. We started as a services company - crushed it - but it wasn’t scalable. We pivoted hard to product. That pivot gave us clarity - and our North Star - and we executed well with a stellar team Pankaj, Saket, Nicola, Naman, Hitesh, Arindam, Joe, Mary, Vaishnavi and over 200 of us at Safe. We raised our Series B investment in 2023 and grew our revenue almost 6x in the past 2 years making us one of the hottest cybersecurity startups in the world. So in this round we wanted someone special to back us - someone who believes in the mission and has been there and done that. Enter Nishant Rao I’ve known Nishant for years. From his days scaling LinkedIn and Freshworks to now founding and leading Avataar Venture Partners - he brings scale, speed, and clarity - not via excel sheet management but with scars in his back as an on-ground operator. I couldn’t ask for a better partner to chase the future with. This raise marks a defining moment in our journey to build CyberAGI - a system of autonomous cybersecurity superintelligence.
