🚨 HUGE news in the hemp THC industry: the federal agriculture bill has been refined to REMOVE language that would have thwarted the category. The industry lives on and will continue to grow! The new agriculture spending bill originally included language that would have essentially fully banned hemp THC and been a kill shot to the exciting and fast-growing industry. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) successfully fought and ultimately blocked/removed the language after threatening to hold up the entire appropriations process. This is a HUGE win for the industry as it continues its explosive growth and perhaps more importantly, its path to a clear and commercially reasonable regulatory framework. 💡🥃 Hemp THC is, and should continue to be treated like, a part of the broader alcohol industry framework. The regulations, distribution channels, and broader public policy should mirror what has worked in booze for decades. This adjustment to the bill is a good first step! (It's worth noting that the hemp ban language remains in the House version of the bill, so we're not completely out of the woods yet. The industry will need to stay vigilant as the final legislation takes shape.) Overall a huge win for what will continue to be one of the most exciting industries in the broader vice space. Don't bet against booze/vice! CC Top Shelf Ventures
It's too bad. This really is a destructive drug and those involved in it's production should do some self examination.
Couldn't agree more, congrats to everyone in the space this is a huge win Noah Sanborn Friedman
Yesssssss
huge win.. a clear and stable regulatory path is everything for founders trying to build in a new category.
Curious to see where this ends up. I really like what Rolling Loud is doing with their hemp beverage at their festivals.
Regulate smart, not scared.
Yep!!
It’s bad for those who write scripts and the pharmaceutical companies that produce the meds to fill the scripts, but people who can’t afford to pay hundreds or even thousands per month on those meds it’s become a life saver. #Regulatenoteradicate

1wIt’s a state by state thing, the states aren’t interested in this and have been cracking down 1 by 1. Federally it may or may not live on…. But state by state it will end
