As part of its ongoing effort to master land autonomy, the US Army recently selected Forterra, Overland AI, and Scout AI to integrate their respective autonomy solutions into the Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV). This initiative will serve as a crucial testbed for solving some of the most difficult navigational challenges in land warfare: cluttered terrain, narrow passages, dense foliage, and unpredictable obstacles. Successfully navigating this frontier, however, requires more than technological breakthroughs. The challenge for innovators is not just technical. As systems take on greater responsibility, building stakeholder trust becomes paramount. Only then can innovation translate into widespread adoption and operational impact. At Polemos Advisors, our mission is to help defense innovators overcome such hurdles by creating the frameworks for governance and strategic communications which are essential for turning groundbreaking capabilities into widely adopted and responsibly used assets. ✴️ Visit our website to learn more about our work: https://lnkd.in/gzRm-eB2 ✴️ Media report on ISV contracts: https://lnkd.in/esbwA7c2 #LandAutonomy #USArmy #DefenseTech #MilitaryAI #Innovation #VentureCapital

The future of military training is here, and it's airborne. Drones are transforming how we prepare soldiers for combat. I recently explored their role in creating realistic training environments. Drones simulate battlefield conditions, offering real-time intelligence. This enhances tactical decision-making and situational awareness. The benefits are clear. Soldiers develop skills in manned-unmanned teaming, essential for modern warfare. But with great power comes great responsibility. What are your thoughts on the balance between innovation and ethics in military training? Let's discuss the future of military training and the role of technology. #DefenseTechnology #Drones #FutureOfTraining

The U.S. Army conducted a Special User Demonstration (SUD) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord to test its Launched Effects (LE) systems, a new class of autonomous platforms designed for reconnaissance, targeting, and kinetic strikes. This event marked the first time Soldiers received hands-on training with these systems, which are part of the Army’s broader strategy to field autonomous platforms across all divisions by 2026. The demonstration emphasized Soldier feedback to refine the systems, drive doctrine, and inform acquisition strategies. The US Army’s modular and iterative approach aims to continuously update the technology based on operational needs and industry advancements, aligning with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s goal of achieving "drone dominance" by 2027. “Getting that feedback from the soldiers, from the commander in the field, helps us drive industry from the standpoint of what are the pros and cons of the capability,' said Brig. Gen. Cain Baker, Director, Future Vertical Lift Cross Functional Team. "From a larger perspective across the Army, it drives our doctrine, our organization, the materiel solution, the training aspect.” https://lnkd.in/gMiGU7hZ #LaunchedEffects #ContinuousTransformation Futures and Concepts Center I PEO Aviation I Aviation Center of Excellence I U.S. Army DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center I U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command I America's First Corps (I Corps) I 7th Infantry Division I U.S. Army Long Range Precision Fires CFT I Soldier Lethality CFT

Russian DefMin Belousov at the latest Military Commission meeting: "Starting this September, three military academies will begin training military personnel in 11 new specialties, including in the use of UAVs and robotic systems. We have significantly increased the volume of deliveries of tactical UAVs to the troops. This has certainly had a positive impact on the course of military operations. It is necessary to complete the work on creating an effective system for providing UAV troops with logistics and repairs. It is also necessary to increase the pace of training UAV operator crews and speed up the implementation of the necessary organizational and staffing measures. We have supplied the troop groups with effective electronic warfare systems, including "trench" (tactical) ones. The next key point is increasing the speed of movement of tactical groups. This year, 22,725 motorcycles, quad bikes and buggies have been delivered. By the end of the year, the plan is to transfer 12,186 more to the troops. Next, the most important point in conducting combat operations is increasing awareness at the tactical level. Since last year, we are working on the "Svod" system. In September-November, we will conduct its experimental combat testing. Then we will begin scaling the system to all troop groupings." https://lnkd.in/eHW2s2YA
