Does living two lives, one in Advertising and one in Education create confusion or is there a possibility to align it? I finally got an answer with OSAAT, One School At A Time. My journey in education started with EVS syllabus comics to make education more engaging, along with its bilingual versions, and character-based science comic strips with Times Newspaper in Education (NIE). Next came the opportunity to co-create content as a Creative Director, in the areas of Constructivism (Agastya International Foundation) and Careers (India Literacy Project). Meanwhile, tech took over, and we created learning games on our platform, as Efundu Edugame was incubated at AIC IIT DELHI after a Design Thinking journey with our mentor Vijayaraghavan Chariar. All along, working with NGOs, Governments, private schools as well as constantly engaging with policy makers, NEP, that gave an inkling that innovation needs to go hand in hand with sustenance, scale and impact. This opened up the urban - rural education divide and the ground reality around it. And the fact, that the education ecosystem is in the Concurrent list where both State and Centre have a say. It’s no secret that Equal Education starts with Equal Opportunities in the real sense. It was wonderful to know how OSAAT bought both to the table, with its physical and digital infra approach. From safety of the children as they rebuild rural government schools, to overcoming the digital divide with a learning platform for teachers - students to engage with AI based learning. OSAAT has shown how CSR can truly give wings to the dreams of rural children in a definitive way. Happy to craft the OSAAT brand story to echo everywhere it needs to be heard. As I step into this new role in my journey, I also remember Steve Jobs’ famous quote, “It’s easy to connect the dots looking backwards.” And, in the great Teacher Confucius’ words, “We have two lives, and the second begins when we realise we only have one.” Anusha Shetty Vadiraja Bhatt Anuradha Jagadeesh #csr #oneschoolatatime #rural #edtech #safeschools
