My name is Jenny Davis. I am an instructional designer and adjunct faculty at the University of Cincinnati. I'm presenting on Going Beyond Textbooks and Lecture Videos, Engaging Learners Through Varied Content at the QM Connect conference. In order to engage our learners of today, we have to think outside of the box. And so bringing in varied content, thinking about how we format things, how we provide content that can grab them, engage them, energize them, it's really important to keeping their attention and keeping them engaged in the course throughout the entire term. I'm really hoping my session provides the participants with some ideas, some things to spark their own desire to search out and find engaging content that they can bring to their students. We're going to share what I have and we're going to get ideas from the audience and really, hopefully leave with some strategies and a plan to take back and really take a hard look at their courses and make some changes that they can do. I think what's important about attending QM Connect is that you get to really network and see people from a range of institution sizes and types. And I think you'd come away with ideas that you can take back to your institution. For everybody at every level, there's something that QM Connect offers.
