It was an honor to once again host Ascend NJ’s Inspiring Across Generations (IAG) annual conference at Prudential Financial. We had ~300 professionals across industries, generations and work-experience levels join us this year. We had representations from all the major pharmaceutical organizations (Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, etc.), the “Big5” consulting firms (Deloitte, KPMG US, PwC, EY, Accenture), our Newark neighbors (Mars, PSEG, NJ TRANSIT, New Jersey Performing Arts Center) and many more partners such as UPS, Reckitt, etc.   I had the privilege to kick off the event in a fireside chat with Vicki Walia, Ph.D. EVP, Chief People officer at Prudential Financial. I would like to thank her for sharing her experiences, wisdom and showing us what thoughtful leadership looks like. Her inputs resonated with everyone in the audience and left us all inspired to lead.   Special thanks to all the volunteers from Prudential Financial and our fearless Co-Lead Swapnil Tamse.
