Richard Culatta’s Post

I recently had the chance to spend time with several of our partners, school leaders, and students across India, and it was an energizing reminder of the innovation happening in schools around the world. A highlight was visiting the Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad, where I saw some incredible student inventions and then promptly lost a chess match to their chess team. I also met with Sengal Patel and the team at Ryan International School, and had great conversations with teachers at Pathways World School about AI and learning. Another memorable stop was Healthy Planet School, where Dr. Arunabh Singh and his team have redesigned the entire early childhood environment around what learning looks like from a child’s perspective. Signs placed at the 3 foot eye level, carefully selected lighting, and even playground sand chosen for the exact grain size needed to build without sticking to everything all reflect the same thoughtful approach. I also spoke about the future of AI at the ARISE event and left feeling optimistic about the partnerships we are building with school leaders across India. I am grateful to Vinesh Menon and his team for making the visit possible and I look forward to continuing this important work.
