This analysis by EFI on the challenges facing biodiversity credits resonates with our work at The Nature Fund and the discussions we're having at the Opinion Festival / Arvamusfestival! They identified 4 critical challenges: - commensurability, - baselines, - permanence, and - governance which are exactly what we need to address to ensure that biodiversity protection efforts are effective. We're particularly focused on how policymakers and landowners can work together to set strong, transparent standards and actions to ensure that the net income would be beneficial for the government`s budget as well as landowner`s.
