Hello friends! After 40 years of working, I've decided to hang up my cleats and enjoy endless weekends! It's been a wonderful journey made better by each of you, and for that I thank you! The best days we spent together were always the hardest, where we conquered the impossible and forged life-long memories. After a week-long celebration, I reflected on a question I was asked by a few colleagues on my way out, "what advice would you pass on?" Here you go. 40 years, 5 thoughts. 1. The expectation is to do more than is expected, every single day 2. The world changes fast, be a voracious learner 3. Two ears, one mouth; be a great listener 4. Appreciate those upon whose shoulders you stood 5. Everyone has something else going on outside of work, be empathetic If you're in Florida or Virginia, please look me up and we'll go fly fishing, golfing, boating, hiking or anything else in the outdoors! Bavis out.
