A bit of Monday wisdom - 3 months into using a standing desk and honestly, game changer. No more lower back pain, no more slouching through the afternoon. I use the alarm on the desk, I stand up from 8:30 to 11:30am, then I sit down for an hour. Go for lunch and stand the rest of the day. My lower back was always a problem on holidays , wearing flip flops or when I was running on the roads, or driving the car on a long journey. Thankfully, the standing desk has genuinely helped strengthen my legs and lower back to the point that its noticeable in day to day life. If you are at the point, where you are considering getting one for prevention or cure, I can highly recommend it. " Sitting is the new smoking " was mentioned to me a few times when I went to see physios in the past. There might be something to that. -Ryan
Ever try a kneeling chair .. strengthens the core and stops slouching. I had same probs with back and it definitely helps.
Yep! I was incredibly lucky to get one sponsored by Cirata (WANDisco then) as part of our lockdown home office setup. I’ll never look back! Such a simple thing but so much better for bodies. I try to take most of my calls standing up; helps me stay focussed!
Had the same issue during Covid, working from home. Tried everything, from hanging to back braces 🤣 a standing desk fixed it in a few weeks!
I have one too and they are great. I don't stand nearly as much as I should, but the adjustability is great when sitting down too - you can get your position just right, to avoid RSIs etc.

3wCan you send me the name of that Desk please, Ryan? I've been considering a change to a standing desk myself.
