Samaritans’ Post

Suicide isn’t inevitable, and anyone can help interrupt someone‘s suicidal thoughts. Tap on this link to find out how: https://bit.ly/464imHb

  • How can you interrupt suicidal thoughts?
  • It might be a face-to-face conversation, a text, a call or a simple question.

Any small moment of connection can make a difference when someone is experiencing suicidal thoughts.
  • How can it help?

When someone feels suicidal, their thoughts can become repetitive and overwhelming, leaving the person feeling trapped.

Even a small interruption can create a helpful break and distraction from the cycle of their thoughts.
  • Things to remember:

It’s OK to ask directly if someone is having suicidal thoughts.

You don’t have to be an expert to help.

You’re not expected to fix everything.

Showing you’re there and you care matters the most.
