Babcock has signed an MOU with Australian company Critical Infrastructure Technologies (CITech) at DESI to co-develop a rapidly deployable hub that combines 5G communications, ISR and counter-UAS systems - designed for NATO’s Eastern Flank and other defence and national security applications. Based on CiTech’s Nexus 20 platform, the 20ft containerised system can self-deploy, adapt to uneven terrain and raise a 20m cyclone-rated tower - delivering fast capability, wherever it’s needed.
