Has Europe reached its peak in industrial innovation as #AI reshapes the global landscape? 🗻 At the 15th German Mechanical Engineering Summit in Berlin this week, I made it clear: not yet - but this is our wake-up call 🔔 Europe’s mechanical engineering sector holds a powerful advantage: deep process knowledge and industrial data. Applied #AI is Europe's opportunity to seize. Now is the time to shift from discussion and exploration to action 💪 It was a pleasure joining Cedrik Neike (Siemens), Renate Nikolay (DG CNECT / European Commission), and Thomas Jarzombek (Bundesministerium für Digitales und Staatsmodernisierung) on stage at VDMA's #MBG25 to discuss the future of the European industry and what it takes to succeed: 🔄 Real business impact requires bold decisions and integrating AI into core processes - leveraging applications, data, and AI holistically. 🌐 Collaboration and trusted data spaces like Manufacturing-X are crucial for cross-industry innovation. 🌍 Europe needs regulation that spurs innovation and a harmonized regulatory framework. The technology and data are ready, with pioneers setting the pace - let’s unlock Europe’s potential and lead in #BusinessAI!

Facing a BANI world, with innumerous disruptions, tax war and other wars, Europe needs to heavily invest in reindustrialization and for that should rely on circular economy models, as the raw materials are scarce and Europe can take advantage on their technology (AI, Automation, Heavy Machinery, Deep knowledge on the Business Process) to lead the Circularity model within the reindustrialization. Crucial to reach sustainability goals, to decrease carbon footprint and to decrease dependency from volatile regions and mostly providers that don't follow the same type of human rights and environment regulations. At SAP we have a huge role to play, as we can promote more and more collaboration, transparency and predictability within the Supply Chains, so glad that we are aligned with this strategy also to help Europe achieve newer and greener targets.
