Power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) is critical for ensuring that voltage regulators keep noise from the supply rail out of sensitive circuits. In our latest application note, we show how to: - Use the Moku Frequency Response Analyzer to measure PSRR from 100 Hz to 20 MHz. - Reveal how regulators maintain ~80 dB rejection at low frequencies, but lose performance as frequency increases. - See the impact of output capacitors on high-frequency ripple rejection. When using a programmable power supply under analog remote control, it is important to take into account both the input impedance and output impedance. 👉 Input impedance: https://lnkd.in/d7d7isi9 👉 Output impedance: https://lnkd.in/djF3qfZP A power supply with a higher input impedance is less affected by the output impedance of the control signal source, resulting in smaller voltage drops, fewer errors, and more accurate control. For example, if a programmable DC power supply has an input impedance of 20 kΩ, and you apply 10 V from a control voltage source with an output impedance of 1 kΩ, the actual input voltage becomes lower than expected due to the impedance interaction. (see the calculation below)

Our guarantee: We test every single component we make, and we send the data with every unit we ship. The reason we do this is simple: no two MMW components have the same exact frequency response. Unique signatures arise from small misalignments and variations in the internal parts. The differences can be substantial. Max, Min, and typical specs are helpful, but what you need to see is the test data for the actual component you are buying. Therefore, we test every component across the full waveguide band on a vector network analyzer and supply the test data with every order at no additional cost. Don’t settle for anything less. #mmWave #MicroHarmonics #rfengineering #technology
