🚀 Growing through Competitive Programmer’s Handbook I recently finished studying Competitive Programmer’s Handbook by Antti Laaksonen excellent resource that takes you from the foundations of time complexity, sorting, and data structures to advanced topics like graph theory, dynamic programming, number theory, and computational geometry . What I valued the most is realizing that competitive programming is not only about solving problems quickly, but about structured, analytical, and creative thinking to design efficient solutions. This book helped me strengthen my algorithmic and improve the way I approach technical challenges. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to sharpen problem-solving skills, prepare for competitions such as ICPC/IOI, or simply enjoy the challenge of algorithms.

Math isn't just about numbers - it's about finding complex patterns in our world. And there are many ways that you can apply mathematical concepts in programming, beyond what you might've learned in school. In this guide, Tiago discusses the architecture of math – and how you can use it in your code. https://lnkd.in/gzNv_YbP

Lately I've been fascinated by the application of LLM agentic systems to solve hard Operations Research problems. I've also found that there's a competition called NL4Opt where a complete labeled dataset with Linear Programming Optimization problems was curated. I believe this should become a benchmark to test LLMs. It's the perfect balance between business interpretation, programming and math. This is a such an incredible niche to research about!!! https://lnkd.in/dhnNG6M3

Did you know IDS students can do math right inside RStudio without needing to write code? That little feature makes a big difference. It means students can try things, test ideas, and actually see what happens with real data without getting stuck on coding first. It keeps the focus on the thinking, not the tool. And that’s exactly what helps math start to click.

It is week 2 of the semester. This fall, our Operations Research courses has reached a new milestone: ✅ Introduction to Operations Research ✅ Integer Programming ✅ Network Optimisation All three courses have set new records in student enrollment! 🎉 Introduction to Operations Research is almost at 300 students, Integer Programming has gone beyond 275 students and Network Optimisation above 150 students. We’re thrilled to see such strong interest in Operations Research and students that are eager to tackle complex decision-making, optimisation, and real-world problem-solving. #ORMS #DTUMAN #StudentSuccess
