Wrapping up the week behind: What an insightful and motivating Academy of Management Annual Meeting #AOM2025 at Bella Center in #Copenhagen! I take back uncountable ideas and new approaches in and beyond my area of expertise. My presentation on our ongoing mixed-methods research on the uptake of #socialinnovation and #socialentrepreneurship in higher education institutions that my colleagues Marthe Zirngiebl, Christoph Kaletka, Daniel Krüger, Dr. Ralf Kopp, Alexander Dederichs and I conduct at Technische Universität Dortmund, Sozialforschungsstelle Dortmund, under the Plattform für Soziale Innovationen und Gemeinwohlorientierte Unternehmen (Platform for Social Innovations and Social Enterprises a.k.a. #SIGU platform) unraveled a set of inspiring talks with colleagues in the field, Faye Farmer, PhD and Prof. Dr. Cordula BARZANTNY. In a to-be-selected-for roundtable discussion of the ENT Divisions' PDW on Navigating Uncertainty in Entrepreneurship, organized by João Fernando Mazzoni and Angelo Bello, I leaped at the chance to gather extremely valuable expert feedback from my mentor Sharon A. Alvarez on my submitted extended abstract that builds upon #creationtheory. Thank you so much!! That discussion followed a prominent panel of experts, Sharon A. Alvarez, Rajshree Agarwal, Peter Klein, Todd Zenger, moderated by Michael Holmes. In the further PDWs throughout different AOM divisions that I attended, among them the AOM ENT Division, SIM Division, AOM, and MED-AOM, we had insightful roundtable discussions on how to embed impact in the research process where I also met Johanna Mair who was one of the empowering panelists, on the use AI for good in education (thinking of our MSCA project Datavysts), and on universities on a mission as enablers in the social innovation ecosystem. In that PDW, I also got to introduce the #SIGU platform as one good example of a network actor, among the others that my fellow scholars put onto the table, bringing insightful discussions with Christina Theodoraki, who also was one of the inspirational panelists, Anne-Karen Hüske, and Bart Leyen who organized the PDW, and many others. Further, I completed the MED-AOM Junior Faculty and Doctoral Students Consortium, a professional development certificate program of emerging teacher-scholars, chaired by Preeti W. and energetically held by Dr Lilian S.. I am more than thankful for having been given this opportunity. It was one of the busiest AOM Annual Meetings for me, first time as a #postdoc, but also one of those where I met as many great like-minded people and #inspiring #scholars! #AOM2025 #AcademyofManagement
