As part of ADHD Pathfinding I have been analysing results of a survey about patient experience of ADHD assessment. One of the challenges is lack of information or understanding of the process. I have a blog post which may be useful. Please comment if you have any additional questions. https://lnkd.in/et4Y6YhR

Ever seen a child who seems “distracted” by everything around them? 🎮 A game. 📺 A TV. 🧸 A toy. 🧩 Even the tiniest detail in the room. It’s easy to label this as lack of focus. But here’s the truth ⤵️ ADHD isn’t an absence of attention. It’s an overflow of it. The challenge isn’t not paying attention—it’s filtering where that attention goes. When we understand this, we stop seeing a “problem” and start seeing a different way of experiencing the world. 🌍 #ADHD #ADHDLens #Neurodiversity #Neurodivergent #InclusiveEducation #ADHDAwareness #ADHDSupport #ADHDCommunity #SpecialEducation #ADHDParenting #ADHDTips #ADHDLife #ADHDStrengths #ADHDInChildren

ADHD isn’t just a childhood condition—and it affects more adults than you might think. A 2023 CDC report found that more than half of people with ADHD are diagnosed in adulthood, and over half of them are women. ADHD can look different in women, especially during perimenopause and menopause, and misdiagnosis is common. But with the right tools and systems—like calendars, notes, and breaking tasks into smaller steps—it can be managed effectively. We spoke with one-on-one ADHD coach Shanna Pearson to learn how the condition manifests in women over 40, and what to do if your brain won’t cooperate.
