Shaun Sethna’s Post

Has a LinkedIn connection ever reached out to you, asking you to make an intro to another one of your LinkedIn connections for a job opportunity? But you don't actually know either of them? It can still be meaningful if you try to connect them. Sometimes taking that small step is what it takes for someone's job application to move from the reject pile to the interview pile. I know it seems silly. Why should you introducing one person you don't know to another person you don't know make any difference? But it often does. And for those of you who would be willing to do it but worry you'd lose credibility by doing so, I wouldn't worry about that. People whom you don't know aren't generally looking for you to put your reputation on the line with a recommendation. They're just looking for something that will help their application get a closer look. And if you don't know what you say, this is a template that I've used when I'm in that situation. #jobsearch #helpeachother

It could certainly make a difference. Very thoughtful of you to share a template of how to make that type of introduction, Shaun Sethna.
